Delete Account - Staffando
Do you want to delete your Staffando account?
We're sorry to see you go. On this page, you'll find detailed instructions on how to delete your account in the Staffando app.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please make sure you have backed up all important data before proceeding.
For Employers
Step-by-step guide:
1. Open the Staffando app
Log in with your credentials if you're not already logged in.
2. Navigate to Profile
Tap on the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar (right).
3. Open Settings
Scroll down to the "Account & Settings" section and tap on "Delete Account" (red button with warning icon)
4. Choose a deletion option
Depending on your account status, you have the following options:
- Delete immediately: Your account will be deactivated immediately (only available for Premium accounts)
- Delete after subscription ends: Your account will be automatically deleted once your Premium subscription expires
- Delete Basic account: Immediate deletion for Basic accounts without an active subscription
5. Confirm deletion
You must confirm the deletion in three steps:
- Step 1: Read the information about the consequences of deletion
- Step 2: Type "DELETE" in the confirmation field
- Step 3: Tap on "Permanently delete account"
6. Logout
After successful deletion, you will be automatically logged out and redirected to the login page.
If you have an active Premium subscription, it will be automatically cancelled. A pro-rated refund will only be issued if legally required.
For Job Seekers
Step-by-step guide:
1. Open the Staffando app
Log in with your credentials if you're not already logged in.
2. Navigate to Profile
Tap on the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar (right).
3. Open Settings
Scroll down to the "Account & Settings" section and tap on "Deactivate Account"
4. Confirm deactivation
A confirmation dialog will appear. Read the warning carefully and tap on "Deactivate Account" to proceed.
5. Logout
After successful deactivation, you will be automatically logged out and redirected to the login page.
What data will be deleted?
For Employers:
- Profile data: Your company profile will be deactivated and will no longer be publicly visible
- Job postings: All your jobs will be deactivated (not deleted, to protect ongoing application processes)
- Premium features: Your Premium subscription will be cancelled
- Access: You will no longer be able to log in to the app
For Job Seekers:
- Profile data: Your profile will be deleted
- Application documents: All uploaded documents will be deleted
- Access: You will no longer be able to log in to the app
Important exceptions:
Not all data will be deleted immediately. For legal and practical reasons, the following data will be retained:
- Chat history: Your chat messages will remain visible to other users (read-only) to preserve their application history
- Applications: Ongoing application processes will remain visible to job seekers, but your contact details will be anonymized
- Legally required data: Accounting-related data will be retained for 10 years in accordance with legal requirements
- Anonymized data: Data for statistics and platform analytics will remain in anonymized form
Retention period and recovery
30-day grace period (Employers only)
For employer accounts, there is a 30-day grace period after deactivation:
- Within these 30 days, you can restore your account
- You will receive an email with a recovery link
- After the 30 days expire, your data will be permanently anonymized
After the 30-day grace period expires, it will no longer be possible to restore your account. Please consider the deletion carefully.
Legal retention periods
- Accounting data: 10 years (in accordance with legal requirements)
- Anonymized statistics: Permanently (without personal data)
